HRACI
Board Positions - Please indicate the position for
which you would like to be considered.
President
Provides leadership consistent with state, area, and national
society policy, strategies, and objectives to maintain
HRACI as an active and productive chapter. Maintains organizational
processes and activities though achievement of goals by
board members and committees. Serves as a voting member
of the State Council.
President-Elect
Works closely with the President in overseeing all activities
of the chapter. In the absence of the President, performance
all the Presidential responsibilities. Serves as liaison
to chapter committees.
Vice President-Programs
Manages
the development of workshops, meetings, and other professional
development opportunities for the membership. Coordinates
speaker selection and site logistics. Directs the efforts
of the professional development committee.
Secretary
Responsible
for taking accurate minutes of board meetings and distributing
to each board member. Ensures chapter records are maintained
and develops procedures for disseminating information
to chapter members. Serves as chapter historian.
Director of Legislative Affairs
Monitors
on a continuing basis pending legislative, regulatory,
and legal action at the federal, state, and local levels
which may have an impact on the management of human resources.
Disseminates information about legislative issues to chapter
members. Communicates with elected officials to educate
about the impact pending legislation will have on HR professionals.
Directs the efforts of the legislative affairs committee.
Director of College and Community Relations
Manages the chapter’s outreach efforts with area
colleges including the scholarship program and campus
chapter support. Manages the chapter’s community
relations including the mentoring program, and workforce
readiness initiatives. Directs the efforts of the college
and community relations committee.
Director of Diversity
Monitors and evaluates activities concerning diversity
issues, spearheads the effort to diversify the association’s
membership/leadership and to publicize successful diversity
programs in the local community. Directs the efforts of
the diversity committee.
Director of Volunteer Management
Recruits,
develops, and retains chapter volunteers and provides
ongoing support to committees in order to ensure the chapter
has the people resources needed to achieve its objectives.
Directs the efforts of the volunteer management committee.
