Professionals from our organization will be asked to contribute
articles on a monthly basis about timely issues facing HR
locally, nationally and globally. We will also publish those
monthly articles in our newsletter just in case you miss
it! Watch our website for updated information as this exciting
new partnership is rolled out.
HRACI also received a mention in the career section of
the Star Classifieds on Sunday, February 17th. In an article
about e-mail etiquette for job seekers, HRACI contributed
content through our communications director, Karen Seketa.
Our strategic plan includes an initiative to continue to
seek out opportunities through our communications committee

Diversity Conference |
Submitted by Erin
Brothers
April
17, 8:30am-1:30pm
Murat Centre
502 N. New Jersey St.
Indianapolis, IN 46204
The annual HRACI Half-day Diversity Conference will be held
at the Murat this year, and with a new format. We are looking
forward to a great conference, featuring three great speakers,
focused on the hottest topics in diversity!
We are doing things a little different this year, in that
we will have 2 morning break out sessions, and then a keynote
speaker at lunch. We will also have a vendor fair, with two
morning break times to visit vendors of your choice. Hopefully
this format will meet your scheduling needs, and whether
you can come all day, or just for the luncheon, we look forward
to seeing you there on April 17.
We
are currently seeking Vendors to participate in the Vendor
Marketplace at this important event! The
investment
is $500 per Vendor and this is typically one of the best
attended events of the year so don’t miss the opportunity
to showcase your business!!! For more information on this
or other sponsorship opportunities, please contact Patti
Daniels at pdaniels@impactgroupHR.com

Your
Foundation at Work: Effective Practice Guidelines |
Submitted
by Karen Seketa, SPHR
If
you are like most HR professionals, you probably lack
the time to keep up with the latest research findings
in human resource management. To help make research-based
knowledge
more accessible, the SHRM Foundation has created a new
series entitled Effective Practice Guidelines. The guidelines
compile
and summarize the HR practices in a given area that have
been shown to be effective based on research studies.
A subject matter expert with both research and practitioner
experience
distills all relevant findings and expert opinion into
specific advice on how to conduct effective HR practice.
SHRM members
may download the following reports free from the SHRM
Foundation website: Performance Management, Selection
Assessment Methods
and Employee Engagement and Commitment. New reports are
added each year. This series is made possible by your
contributions
to the SHRM Foundation.
