2005 Scholarship Award Information

Purpose
In order to encourage and support students pursuing a career in the human resource management field, HRACI offers one annual scholarship in the amount of $1,500.

Eligibility
To be eligible for the scholarship, an individual must:

  • Be a junior or non-graduating senior at an accredited college or university in Marion County or one of its surrounding counties, intending to actively pursue or continue a career in human resources upon graduation
  • Be or become a member in good standing as a student or professional member of HRACI (as specified in Scholarship Acceptance Agreement)
  • Have a 2.5/4.0 cumulative grade point average
  • Be enrolled for a minimum of 6 credit hours per semester

How To Apply
In order to be considered for the scholarship, the following materials must be submitted and received by April 30, 2005:

  • Completed application
  • College transcript
  • Faculty or employer recommendation

Selection Process
Selection will be based upon academic merit, commitment to the human resource profession as stated in educational/career goals and/or demonstrated in school or work achievements, and faculty or employer recommendation. A personal interview may be required. Decisions will be entirely at the discretion of the HRACI Board of Directors. All applicants will be notified of their status in late May.

Payment of Scholarship Awards
The scholarship award will be paid on the student’s behalf directly to his/her college or university, and the school will be instructed to divide the amount equally between the fall and spring semesters. If for any reason the student interrupts or discontinues studies or otherwise fails to meet the conditions of the scholarship award, HRACI reserves the right to revoke all or part of the scholarship.

The scholarship will not be awarded more than once to the same individual.
