We are looking for guest speakers for this year, and one of the very "hot topics" right now is Risk Management and HR Functions. We are looking for a Human Resources Speaker or panel who is also knowledgeable about volunteerism, background checks, maintaining accurate records (what to keep for how long, what not to keep), Workers Comp (does it apply to volunteers or not), employees as volunteers, how to ask appropriate interview questions, etc. We'd also like to find an Attorney to participate. The meeting is 8:30-10:00 with approximately 45 minutes reserved for the presentation.
